Once again Nonnative's fall collection looks very impressive. The tones, the layers, the fabrics and the lengths of the garments all seem to go perfectly with one another, but looking at things individually, there are several standout items. This down vest comes in four colours and provides just enough insulation, while offering a unique look with its vertical tubes and round collar.

Each summer the same hunt begins again: the perfect, or close to perfect, bucket hat. One that will fit my peculiar shaped head. I'm not promising this is the one, but available in a range of colours, in a mix of linen and rayon, the Trooper Hat from Nonnative is certainly a strong contender.

This collarless shirt from Nonnative is made in Japan from lightweight, washed cotton. It's a nice casual option perfect for wearing over a T-shirt, but the asymmetric hem and zipped chest pocket add something interesting to an otherwise simple piece.

This shirt is essentially a puzzle piece for your wardrobe. It can be worn alone, but is also perfect to layer with, revealing itself in smaller, less noticeable ways. The banded top will look great piled under a few of those archaic collars some people still cling on to, while the cotton satin elongated torso will be an interesting addition to the waves of heavier fabric falling over the lower half of a winter look.

There is no greater assurance when the wind picks up than a close, insulating layer against your body. Made out of olive nylon with a full zip and no collar, the Nonnative Tourist Vest is certainly a standout garment and would warm up any shell.

Sand.W.Man. is a collaboration between The Soloist's Takahiro Miyashita and Nonnative's Takayuki Fujii. The two designers have teamed up to create some incredible boots. Two different pairs to be exact, but my choice is the Hike variant. The French cowhide is beautifully aged and waterproofed with pine resin, and the unevenness in the leather treatment looks fantastic.
