Words

These hiking boots are made in Japan by Regal. They feature a cleaner silhouette than your average American made version which is nice if you plan on wearing them around the city. The two colours available are both subtle and easy to wear.

Words

Tres Bien have added Nonnative to their extensive brand list this season, and while the Japanese company offers many interesting pieces, these corduroy trousers are my pick of the bunch. A classic style, in a timeless colour, and available in what appears to be the ideal fit.

Nonnative x New Balance H170

Nonnative NB New Balance has quite an interesting history and story as a brand, but I feel they have missed the mark in North America more often than not. While their functional running shoes are highly praised for good reason, the successful casual models and co-branded products seem to be limited to Europe and Asia. I've always liked their hiking shoes and this fall Nonnative put together one of my favorite takes on their H170. The sole has been given a vintage treatment which looks perfect with the two shades of brown. Topped with with a subtle red hit, these are definitely a pair of New Balance's I would wear this fall.

Upper Thigh Cargo Pants

thigh-cargosI have never really been much of a fan of cargo pants at any point in my life. I did have cargo shorts back in the day, but never pants - at least that I wore. Even with Engineered Garments making a subtle cargo pant, I am extremely hesitant to like them at all. I think both the North American stigma as well as the pure look of them will probably prevent me from every wearing any. However. I have noticed a couple pairs of pants in the Japanese market that have a version with relocated pockets. While I would still be hesitant to jump into a pair, I have to say they look a lot more appealing on the model worn with an oxford and rolled up with some boots. I could however do without the white paint spot treatment, but I am definitely a lot less opposed to this look. I'm curious if many folks in the North American market are going to be accepting the style into their wardrobe.

Nonnative Tweed Down Toggle

The only thing that could have made this jacket better is making it available somewhere in North America. That, and maybe adding a bit of length to it. Nonnative is again dropping a few more new years releases and again, the item is great. The group's taste in design and their aesthetic is right on point with things I am looking for in the market and would love to wear quite often. This slightly puffy down toggle coat is a very nice mixture of classic designs and slightly updated with just enough of a change to make it fresh. Thanks to SlamX for the find. Seriously though, somebody buy this collection for North America.
