—01. Interview with Jockum Hallin & Hannes Hodgeman.

Words

A couple of our friends in Sweden have got together to open a shop. Tres Bien and Our Legacy have had a strong relationship for a long time now so it makes sense for them to join forces in Stockholm. The store is very clean, uses the space nicely and will no doubt be a success with the loyal following both brands have built over the past few years. You should also be able to find the new issue of Inventory on their shelves in the coming weeks too.

Our Legacy by Mathias Sterner

—01. A small book was printed and bound featuring the photos last month.

Words

In some of my recent posts featuring Our Legacy's spring collection you'll notice I've used slightly different product shots than usual. These photos are apart of the brand's spring campaign which was shot by their friend and photographer, Mathias Sterner. The photographs capture the items in their natural habits of lived in, beautifully lit spaces. The shots are rich in color, texture and a mood that gives the products a different feeling, one that is more interesting and human, as if the person is just out of frame or in another room. Mathias has worked for a number of publications including Apartamento, Monocle and Pig. His shots have a great consistency and nice feel to them, full of character and great light.

Our Legacy Linen Bomber

01

Details

—01. Paired nicely with a blue oxford shirt.

Words

"A refined bomber jacket with a heavy silver zip – easily worn as a light jacket in the spring. Here, in a blue crispy linen fabric, super nice contrast between style and fabric. The fabric is a 'perfect' thin canvas structure from Italy that has been already washed once."

Our Legacy Caterpillar V-Neck

01

Details

—01. Made in Portugal.

Words

"The Caterpillar V-Neck is made in a very rare string that is treated and dyed naturally. The Yarn reminds us of pure indigo since it fades gently after being used. The string is called BRUCO (Caterpillar) and was common in the 80s, but in 100% polyester that created a feeling similar to a velvet knit. The Caterpillar knit is a blend of 70% linen and 30% cotton which is our updated version from the 80s. The purpose with this knit is a natural expression and each piece will differ in appearance."

Coming Soon: INVENTORY 02 Spring–Summer 2010

01

Details

—01. Both covers will be available next week.

Words

It’s been a very compact and exciting spring so far this year as we have new developments in all aspects of Inventory, but our main focus has been the production of our second issue of the magazine. Finally our Spring–Summer 2010 issue is going to the printers and we are excited to present the two covers for the upcoming offering. We feel the new issue not only met the standard of our initial launch but perhaps exceeded it with a more diverse range of content, some great new contributors and an additional 30 pages. Featured in our spring issue are Margaret Howell, The Real McCoy’s, Beams, White Mountaineering, Our Legacy, Wm. J. Mills & Co., Unis, New Balance and several other fascinating people, brands and stories. The issue will be available to pre-order through the Inventory Stockroom next week and will be shipping and hitting shelves in early/mid-May.

Our Legacy Hunting Jacket

Our Legacy Hunting Jacket One of my favorite pieces from Our Legacy's spring collection is their hunting jacket. It's simple, the reference is obvious, but it's done really nicely. The corduroy collar is really nice, falls naturally and the fabrics have been washed really nicely. The jacket is unlined which makes it pretty ideal for the spring, but easy enough to layer some knitwear underneath come fall. Both colors are very nice and I would have a tough time choosing between them.

Our Legacy Spring Desert Boot

Our Legacy - Desert Boot 1 Our Legacy's spring collection is starting to show up at Tres Bien now and along with the always solid shirting and chinos, the footwear is now showing up. Being a relatively new brand, it's quite the task to create new versions or new models that fit within such a classic aesthetic. As lot of the Our Legacy collection is based on vintage pieces, the shoes feel like I've seen them before, but I'm not quite sure where. This spring the brand has introduced a very easy to wear and sharp looking suede desert boot. They are made in Portugal with the rest of the Our Legacy collection and could be a nice fit if you're in between Alden and Red Wing for a plain toe boot. — Our Legacy - Desert Boot 2 Our Legacy - Desert Boot 3
